Chris Soares practices a wide range of corporate and securities law, with a particular focus on SEC, FINRA, and stock exchange listing requirements, initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate formation, corporate governance, private placements of equity and debt securities, SEC compliance, and general corporate matters. Mr. Soares advises both domestic and international companies and he works with public and private companies through all stages of growth.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Soares was a corporate associate at Dechert LLP and Eversheds Sutherland LLP where he specialized in capital markets transactions. During law school, Mr. Soares worked as an intern for the SEC’s Student Honors Program. He also worked as an intern for Prudential Financial, Inc., and was a student attorney in his law school’s Community and Transactional law Clinic.
Mr. Soares obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law in 2019 and received his Bachelor of Science degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 2016. Mr. Soares is admitted to practice law in Washington D.C.
