Mr. Kaufman has practiced corporate and securities law for more than ten years, and is particularly experienced with SEC, FINRA, and stock exchange listing requirements. Mr. Kaufman regularly represents smaller public companies in a range of industries in initial and follow-on public offerings, JOBS Act offerings, private placements, and ongoing SEC and stock exchange disclosure requirements, as well as other complex corporate and securities transactions. Formerly a senior associate in the law firm of Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP, Mr. Kaufman also coauthored legal advisories, white papers, and a chapter in the treatise Venture Capital and Public Offering Negotiation.

Mr. Kaufman is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia and State of New York. He received his J.D. degree from University of California, Berkeley, School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor of the Berkeley Journal of International Law. He graduated with a B.A. degree from Haverford College with Honors in Political Science and received the Herman M. Somers Prize for best Political Science thesis paper.
